A great way to wrap up a great season for Shorecrest Select Basketball. All 4 teams got wins over the weekend and the Shorecrest program was the only team out of 16 WESCO schools to place TWO teams in the Championship games.
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Shorecrest team! They have won the WESCO Tournament for the second time in 3 years. Great job fellas. With wins over Shorewood, Glacier Peak, Arlington and Marysville in the championship game, Coach Wiggs and Coach Shands leave the program on a very positive note. Congratulations coaches.
The 6th Grade team beat King's, Kamiak and Monroe on their way to the Championship, but lost to Stanwood and took 2nd place. A significant improvement from last year's 7th place finish. Great season Scots.
Also, wanted to send a congratulations to the 5th and 7th grade teams for an outstanding season and WESCO tournament. Each team got wins in the tournament and narrowly lost their final games to miss out for a chance for the 5th/8th place game. Both teams improved greatly over the season and the league better watch out for them next year.

5th Graders: 9-16 (5-10 in league)
6th Graders: 23-4 (13-2 in league) 2nd PLACE WESCO FINISH
7th Graders: 11-18 (5-9 in league)
8th Graders: 27-2 (13-2 in league) 1st PLACE WESCO FINISH
