Congratulations to the Scots program at the midway point of the regular season.

5th Grade: 6-8 (3-4)
6th Grade: 14-1 (7-0)
7th Grade: 7-7 (3-4)
8th Grade: 15-1 (6-1)
The entire coaching staff and program is proud of the work ethic and improvement made this season.
JAN. 12 Weekend of Basketball - King's
The Highlander Select Basketball program continued its winning way this past weekend. In its only action vs. the Knights of Kings, the program went 3 – 1.
For the 5th graders, they played a tough game against a very tough 5th Grade King's team. The Scots were on the losing end, 47-18.
The 6th graders played a spirited and up tempo game against King's and prevailed 58-23. Great guard play and offensive rebounds helped the Scots to the victory this weekend.
In an extremely tight and contested 7th grade game the Scots pulled one another close one at the buzzer beating Kings 32 – 30. Clutch free-throws and pressure defense leading to Knight turnovers were the difference in the 2nd half. The 7th graders have now climbed back to the .500 mark at 7 - 7 and continue to improve.
The 8th graders continued there winning ways with a closer than expected game from Kings. In a game separated by one point at half, the 8th graders finally went on a roll in the 3rd quarter and held on to win against the feisty Knights, 48 - 37.
This weekend is a bye for the WESCO league as it Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
Our 7th graders elected to enter an extra tournament and are playing in a “Washington Youth Sports – Martin Luther King Jr. tournament (http://www.wayouthsports.com/schedule.htm). Good luck guys!! You can also check around and find some great high school action in the area too.
Our next league games are Saturday, January 26 at Monroe and then onto Lake Stevens for the second game. Good luck to everyone!!
